We have organised a series of free community concerts featuring a carefully curated and diverse selection of local artists for your entertainment pleasure! Come along and enjoy an afternoon of live music on Sunday 6th November, with the WAAPA Gospel Choir.
A special thanks to major sponsor, the City of Vincent.
Beaufort Street is hosting 5 FREE public performances this weekend in the Mary Street Piazza. This is a perfect lead in to the upcoming Beaufort Street Network event series to be held over summer. And there is also the Beaufort Street Artisan Market on Sunday. Here are the details.
Love events, people, arts, creativity and good times? Come work with us!
Actually it’s more like good times than work. We want your unbridled enthusiasm, your passion, your creativity and your stamina.
We’re the Beaufort Street Artisan Market, or BSAM. You may have heard of us. We’re run mostly by volunteers and are in need of a few more hands on deck. We’re all about providing a platform for local artisans to exhibit and sell their wares. We enjoy seeing the local community out and about in the ‘hood, interacting with each other. Making a better Beaufort Street and engaging the community is something we’re passionate about.
The BSAM is held on the second Sunday of every month in the Barlee Street car park, Mt Lawley. We need a hand with bumping in and out, liaising with the makers, interviewing the artisans, interacting with them on the day, helping the manager source entertainment, buskers and more. We’ll also have other awesome events during the year which you can collaborate on and be a part of. What we can offer in return is friendship, guidance, work experience, a written reference, networking, good times and a whole lot more!
About you. You may be studying event management and want to get your hands dirty with real event experience. Or you may just enjoy hanging with cool peeps and helping out in your spare time. Whatever the case, we’d like to hear from you. Please shoot us through an email and a CV with a few words about yourself. The email address is email@example.com
Local businesses will be activating the street by bringing merchandise, seats and music out on to the footpath. This has never been done in Perth before as a street-long event. So come down and check it out. It’s on from Chatsworth Road, Highgate to Inglewood.
Inside Out Entertainment and Kids Activities
The Beaufort Street Network has organised some entertainment and kids activities to help boost the vibe.
Visit the Beaufort Street Artisan Market on Sunday 1st May and go into the draw to WIN one of 3 prize packs for Mum! The Artisan Market is on from 9am to 1pm in the Barlee Street carpark.
To enter, simply head down to the market, register at the Beaufort Street Network stall and tell us the name of your favourite stall and/or upload a picture of the stall to our Facebook page. Winners will be drawn randomly on Wednesday 4th May and winners names will be published on our Facebook page.
The end of April nears and the ‘Inside/Out’ event is coming to Beaufort Street, seeing the retailers come out from behind their counters to spill their wares onto the street.
On the weekend of April 30 and May 1, the fabulous shops of Beaufort Street are going to bring their insides out – their shop wares of course. The action packed weekend organised by the good people of the Beaufort Street Network will see the street’s retailers trundle out their best to enjoy a carnival-like atmosphere of activity. And of course the public is needed to complete the party.
“Local businesses will be the star attraction of this concept. We’re hoping that this street activation will entice locals and those further afield to fossick and find unique treasures.
“Bring your friends, family, kids and fur babies to enjoy buskers and street fun. There could be no better time than to enjoy a leisurely stroll along our beloved Street,” said Beaufort Street Network Chair Pam Herron.
An even bigger bonus will be the launch of the revamped Beaufort Street Artisan Market on Sunday the 1st of May.
“We’re appealing to all those locals who love living here to support our local shops who are giving that extra yard with a unique street-side experience,” said Pam.
“Beaufort Street constantly surprises with a unique blend of merchants that offer diversity and interest. Come join the Inside/Out experience on April 30th or the first of May or both. You can never have too much of a good thing!”
Inside Out is presented by the Beaufort Street Network in partnership with community group Inglewood on Beaufort. The event will stretch from Brisbane Street all the way up to Inglewood.
